Boat Auction - Useful Information

 

We hope the following information about the auction will be helpful to you.  You may also wish to read our standard terms and conditions contained elsewhere on the website, although they have been designed for visitors to our antiques auction room you will find one or two differences listed below.  For further information please contact Imogen Stewart on 01243 813760.

 

Sale Location:

Hunters Meadow, Hunston, near Chichester (signed from B2145)

 

From the A27 Chichester by-pass, turn south on the B2145 signposted Hunston/Selsey.  After approximately a mile you will reach a roundabout.  Take the 2nd exit, signed Hunston village.  If you look to your right as you go round the roundabout you will see the sale field but continue along the road for a short distance before you come to the entrance.

 

The sale is held in an open field so wet weather gear may be appropriate!

 

Time:

The auction starts promptly at 10am.  Viewing beforehand. 

 

Sale commission:

Boats, engines & trailers – 12.5% plus VAT

Miscellany – 15% plus VAT

 

Entries need to be pre-booked.  Please telephone the auctioneers as soon as possible if you wish to enter items. 

 

Buyer’s Charges:

No entry fee.  Buyers Premium of 10% incl. VAT on all lots.

Some lots will have VAT added to the hammer price.  These items are marked with an asterisk * in the catalogue. 

 

The catalogue in paper form will be available on the day at £1.50.

 

Clearance time:

Staff in attendance until 2.30 pm.  No responsibility whatsoever is taken for items left at the site after that time (unless arrangements have been made with the auctioneers).

 

Facilities Provided:

Car parking.

Mobile catering van.

A few stallholders will be selling items of boating interest.
