A Victorian Welsh mahogany longcase regulator, 14in brass circular dial inscribed 'R B Thomas, Port Madoc', with deadbeat escapement, 218cm high, with mercury pendulum and brass weight.
Commensurate with age and use. We believe this is of eight day duration All appears original, loose frieze and moulding pieces in situ. Screw holes to sides of case to secure seatboard. Small section of veneer missing as well as piece of decoration around the dial. Dial in good order, hands appear original. The four pillar movement is robust, has maintaining power and 5-6ml plate. The crutch is slightly bent. The apeture for the weight was possibly a later adaptation.
