£17,500
A good early 19th century oak, pollard oak, holly, ebonized and cocus wood centre table, attributed to George Bullock, freestanding, with cedar lined frieze drawer, 64cm wide x 48.5cm deep.
Provenance: originally from Cheriton House, Cheriton, Hampshire, probably acquired in the inter-war period.
Unexplained patches to rear legs (of the same timber) - see additional images. Two splicings to rear legs, purpose unknown. Some veneer missing. Structurally study, all joints firm. Some veneer loss and rising. Chipping in several places on lower leg ring turning. Denting to table top edge. A few pieces of veneer replacement. Top flat and no warping seen, some wear and tear related to use. Would need restoration to bring it back to its best.
