An historically important silver RAF Handley Page Halifax heavy bomber, by The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1945, on stylized lightning bolt support, with ebonised socle bearing silver plaque inscribed 'Air Marshal Sir C R Carr KBE, CB, CBE, DFC, AFC, by Sir Frederick Handley Page', overall height 31cm.

Air Marshal Sir Charles Roderick Carr, KBE, CB, DFC, AFC (31/8/1891 – 15/12/1971) was a senior RAF commander from New Zealand. He held high command in WWII and served as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief in India.
Please note the machine gun barrels are replaced with steel pins.
Several propellor tips bent or damaged.
Missing radio wire.
Multiple later cuts to tail flaps, one of which has been bent.
Hallmarked on tail of plane.
Lightning bolts are not hallmarked.
