An early George III mahogany Gainsborough chair, with open arms above blind fret legs and shaped stretchers.
A nice chair but with problems@ Joints quite firm. Fabric very worn. All 4 legs have replacement tips. A crack through centre of left stretcher, filler to both arms where they meet the upholstery. Holes in arms due to old polish.
