A Russian silver trompe l'oeil box and cover, by Khlebnikov, Moscow 1891, the cover modelled as a draped fringed carpet, the hammered body applied with dragonflies and foliage, gilded to the interior, 8.5cm x 5.5cm, 226.5g.
Khlebnikov was a Master worker for Faberge.
Overall condition good, however there are a couple of areas of surface damage seen to body (see images). Rubbing to raised gilt appliques on body. Minor scuffing and denting to top edge of body. Marks clear. NO provenance supplied.
