A large Japanese carved ivory okimono figure group, Meiji, depicting a mother and child with a basket of flowers, signed, 26cm high, (s.d.).
Several detached flowers from basket, right shoulder and left hand of mother (there is a small bag of broken flower pieces accompanying the lot). Tiny hexagonal loss to back of figure. Minor loss to rope in right hand of child. Small chips to fabric on head. Left leg of mother has been broken and re-stuck at wrong angle. Chips and loss to toes on her left foot, also to toes of left foot of child.
