PYM (T, Illustrator, pseud. Clara Creed): an archive of original watercolours and sketches by late 19th/early 20thc published illustrator Clara Creed, pseudonymously known as T. Pym. Comprising oblong 8vo sketchbook dated 1886, approx 35pp sketches and watercolours, some highly finished, covers worn and dampstained: a fine original watercolour on card, contained in postally used paper wrappers postmarked 1887 and addressed to the Rev. Grevile Livett, Gothic Cottage, Twickenham, with fine pen and ink sketch of children tackling a large pudding to one side, wax seals to verso: fine watercolour on square paper section and mounted on card, with 4 line verse: a further 8vo album of pencil sketches dated 1880, plus a commonplace book of verse, watercolours and photographs, inscribed to upper flyleaf 'Clara F Creed from Mama on her birthday of 13': TOGETHER WITH several distressed examples of her printed books, plus misc. other related items/ephemera.
