A rare circa 1958 'Rolex Submariner' stainless steel automatic wristwatch, 36mm, Ref 6536/1, cal 1030, case no. 398518, serial number 810314, case date IV/1958, on Rolex 6636 riveted expanding bracelet, the end pieces numbered 75.
Provenance: for sale by the descendants of the original owner.

In original condition, winds and ticks, with usual signs of wear to case, some very minor scratching and cracking to plexiglass at edge. Dial has fine pitting to surface with areas of spidering (left of 12, 2 and through 6), rusting to hands and loss of luminous paint to hour batons. Bracelet fully functional. No box or papers, but paperwork from Rolex, dated 1991, stating reasons for inability to service a watch of this age (no parts available).
